So, finally, it seems, it dawned on Obama that if he needs to follow in FDR's footsteps in combatting an economical crisis, he needs to create jobs. And, since our infrastructure has come in such disrepair (just like it was in the 30s), there is no better way to provide a short-term boost to the job market than to invest in infrastructure.
